Buyana Jargalsaikhan is a stylist and creative director who crafts powerful visual narratives across cultural boundaries. Born in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia—where nomadic traditions meet urban development—she developed a unique perspective on storytelling through objects, spaces, and identity.

After studying Creative Direction & Fashion Styling at Istituto Marangoni in London, Buyana returned to Mongolia to found Gray Minds, the country’s first independent digital magazine. This platform examines society through fashion and culture, creating space for authentic expression in Mongolia’s evolving creative landscape. Her practice extends to curating events that unite diverse artists, generating dialogue and pushing artistic boundaries.

To deepen her understanding of art’s societal impact, Buyana pursued a Master’s in Arts & Cultural Management at Pratt Institute in New York, complementing her practical expertise with a strong theoretical foundation. Her multidisciplinary approach allows her to merge conceptual storytelling with technical precision, pushing the boundaries of contemporary fashion and visual art.

Now based in New York City, she continues her artistic evolution, creating work that weaves together heritage, modernity, and global influences into narratives that transcend borders. Drawing from her experiences across Mongolia, London, and New York, she explores the intersection of fashion, art, and identity—creating visual dialogues that not only captivate but provoke deeper reflection and reveal new perspectives.
